In this presentation I’d like to present some refreshing concepts rethinking the boundaries of running Magento on a classic LAMP stack, exploring a more microservice-like approach that – while still driven by Magento at its core – will leverage other technologies and architectural patterns like queuing, alternate storage and other concepts in order to cross existing performance and scalability limits significantly.
When talking about 10000s of concurrent users, 1000s of concurrent cart and stock reservation operations and 100s of orders per second it is required to question some of the traditional two-tier-application approaches. Let’s explore what Magento has to offer, look at a possible infrastructure and deployment setups and let’s not be afraid of replacing some functionality with other technologies supporting the scale that we need to reach.
